Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do we service?
We currently service all of Utah. We will be servicing other states such as Texas in the coming months.
What if the track is a different color than the soffit?
Every track for the the lighting system is color matched perfectly to your home to make them blend in and appear invisible.
How are the lights controlled?
We have an app where you can control colors, timers, brightness, and effects for any occasion and any season.
How long does installation take?
We usually install within 1–2 weeks, depending on current bookings. During the holiday rush, scheduling early is best.
Are the lights visible during the day?
The lights are installed discreetly under the eaves, so they’re nearly invisible when turned off. You’ll only see clean rooflines — no hanging wires or clips.
What colors and effects can I use?
You can choose from over 16 million colors, plus patterns for every holiday and occasion — from red & green for Christmas to orange & purple for Halloween.
Do the lights work year-round?
Absolutely. They’re weatherproof, low-voltage LED lights made for year-round use — holidays, security, accent lighting, and everyday ambiance.
Do the lights add to my power bill?
Only slightly. Each light uses less than 1 watt, so running your system daily costs less than most porch lights — and far less than seasonal string lights.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — all OzTech Lighting installs come with a 5-year parts warranty and a 1 year labor warranty. If there’s ever an issue, we’ve got you covered.
Can I choose when the lights turn on and off?
Yes! You can set custom schedules and timers inside the app, so your lights automatically turn on at sunset and off at your preferred time.
What happens if one light goes out?
Our systems are designed with individual addressable LEDs, meaning one light going out won’t affect the others. We can replace single lights easily.
Can I add more lights later?
Absolutely. The system is expandable, so you can start with your roofline and add garage, patio, or backyard lighting later.
